There we go again, stuck at home.No going out, but if I could that is exactly what I would be wearing. I’m obsessed with this chartreuse, silky dress. I’m still trying to wear summer pieces because soon all I will want to wear will be warm, chunky sweaters, scarfs and not much variety. Also making the most of the brown coat, that as predicted goes with most outfits. To make the dress more season-appropriate I’m wearing a warmer polo neck underneath it and also trousers. So the dress ends up being more of a tunic. The trick of layering. I was going to also add a belt but it looked a bit too much. Vintage bag to finish it off.
Making the most of the coat and warm weather. This shade of brown goes beautifully with pale green, minty colour. I have added a white shirt to make it crisper. And with broderie angles picking out around the collar adding an extra detail making this rather basic outfit more elevated. Black sparkly, trousers and a black shopper tying it all together.
This time of the year again. Getting colder, but still too warm to jump to winter coats. A coat, just a cover-up, a bit smarter than a cardigan, but doing its job is the best answer. This one imitates suede but is much softer. A cream jumper as a homage to the gone summer. Army green trousers and brogues, navy blue bag and a stripy, homemade scarf that brings all of the colours together.
This is a bit autumnal look. The colours are not so vivid. The blouse served me well over the years, despite the statement sleeves, that are specific to a certain era, the blouse has this boho vibe that I like. Paired with trousers that were gifted and I find the colour challenging, but the fit is impeccable. White sandal as a homage to almost gone summer and statement earrings because I barely wear them.
When I got the trousers I was determined to wear them a lot, as the skinny jeans are getting a bit boring now, not that I don’t love them. That would be my typical way to wear them – with something more voluminous on top. This blouse has served me well for a few years now and I still find it current. I wanted the accessories to be all brown and if I can’t find something I will make it as I did the earrings. Heeled boots to give me hight, as the trousers need it, and a vintage bucket bag to complete it all.
This look happens when you open your wardrobe, see something that you haven’t worn for a while and decide to build the whole outfit around it. My inspiration was the teal cardigan that you barely can see. I love the colour and then I thought about what would go with it. Decided that navy blue will be the dominant colour and then started pulling out things that have not seen the daylight for a while. The puffer jacket is the seasonal necessity so is the scarf, but once I have added a bit of brown, had to wear brown boots. Frills and fringe- why not?
