The scarf I am wearing I had since I was 18 years old. Truly vintage now. I used to wear it with another army green winter coat that I have since got rid off. As army green and gold go well together I have used my silky, wide-leg trousers to add richness and different texture. If we were allowed to go anywhere on a Boxing Day that would have been my outfit. comfortable but elevated.
The bag is a new addition, no name, probably a knock off of some designer. I have been considering buying it since the last lockdown. I have seen it in burgundy, electric blue and army green and couldn’t make up my mind which colour to choose, In the end when I got this coat the army green won. Even though the colour is similar to the coat the bag still stands out due to its texture.
I am very pleased with this look. I have bought this cardigan at the beginning of the year because it looked very preppy to me. I prefer navy blue to black and I have a lot of things in this colour. As I was rummaging through my things I have come across the skirt that I got in a charity shop a long time ago and it all clicked, the colours are spot on. I have chosen green, stripy vest to make it more modern and give it some interest and also because I’m obsessed with green at the moment. The pale gold earrings match the hardware in the cardigan.
Well, let’s be honest there is only so much you can do with a pair of trousers in summer weather. This look is more for the evening when the temperatures drop a little and you can actually bear a long sleeve. I do seem to like this particular shade of green as I do have a couple of things that go together. The same idea with sandals but these are more cream colour than stark white and a matching bracelet and pale gold earrings, as a necklace, in my opinion, would be too much.
Can not pass a good bargain when I see one. I always buy things out of season. When I saw this top I had to get it. The colour is perfection and the fact that it is a semi-transparent makes it perfect for summer. My uniform: a good top, trousers, comfortable shoes, and some accessories.
I have to make more use out of these trousers. I got them in a tiny shop selling uninteresting clothes apart from these, they have really stood out. The fabric is not the easiest to keep wrinkle-free and the length of them requires wearing heals, but they do look lush especially with a decadent looking white blouse. the colour scheme is quite classic, with black accents.
When you haven’t got something, borrow it. I have borrowed this jumper, if I have bought it I wouldn’t have worn it that often as I’m not that fond of black but it looks good today and it has zippers on the side to fit any hip size. The trousers are old but they are comfortable and something different than boring denim. The jacket is a wardrobe staple.
