That is exactly what I thought when I saw them in the shop. Lined, washable with actually not bad pearl accent buttons, well cut and flattering, I am immensely impressed especially that they came from Primark.
For a while, I was also on a hunt for a cropped white jumper. Most jumpers nowadays seem to be oversized or end mid-hip, the worst possible place which makes you look short and boxy. But eventually, I have found one that will go with everything high waisted that I possed.
The boots are old but unusual. Loosely woven and almost summery. The earring and the bracelets have obviously pearls theme to match the buttons.
That was my Christmas outfit since Christmas was cancelled and we were just staying home.
I have already done this colour combination in the past. But since I want to get as much wear as possible from my favourite clothes I want to give those trousers another spin. While purchasing the pants I could get a matching blazer. But the cut and the quality were questionable so I have opted out. And imagine that, about a month later I have found in a charity shop a blazer in a matching colour in a more flattering cut. Now I have a trouser suit. To give it casual feel I have paired it with trainers. Not plain but monochromatic sneak print. And to replicate the monochromatic feel I have chosen black and white, street vibe, basketball T-shirt.
Wearing a white skirt on a rainy day is asking for trouble unless it is a faux leather pleated skirt, that any dirty water can be just wiped off it. I have paired it obviously with another faux leather garment- short, black jacket and of course faux leather black boots. A monochromatic look for a rainy day.
This is becoming repetitive but I like white trousers in spring. In summer it’s generally too hot to wear trousers but in spring, especially after months of rain, it’s like like fresh air not having to wear dark colours. I have worn the top recently, but this time with a statement necklace unknown origins.
So I have dug up that old relic coat of mine that is very warm (wool+cashmere) slightly old fashioned cut but it’s way too good to get rid off and tried to keep everything in the same tone. The top is from Zara and looks very, Chanel-like plus grey trousers plus brogues, all in my books very relaxed and modern.
Tempted to wear white despite all the rain that we are getting. A polo-neck is transforming this summer blouse into a more weather-appropriate outfit while trainers with a thicker sole insulate feet from the cold ground.
