Can’t help but think Tin Man every time I look at this sweater. I do like metallics and they do serve me well in my wardrobe. Metallics and white is a classic combination for summer, whether it’s a summer dress and metallic accessories or white trousers and a metallic top, it always looks fresh in my eyes.
When you need something fresh but neutral also, this combination seems perfect. I have added some silver because it wouldn’t be otherwise. But it’s always good to have something beige and pale grey in your summer wardrobe. Also, I have never worn these earrings since I have bought them. Every time I have put them on, something was ‘off’ about them, until I have figured out that they were too long for my face, so a bit of scissors action and now they fit just fine.
This is becoming repetitive but I like white trousers in spring. In summer it’s generally too hot to wear trousers but in spring, especially after months of rain, it’s like like fresh air not having to wear dark colours. I have worn the top recently, but this time with a statement necklace unknown origins.
This top used to be a mini dress. This top used to live in my closet as a dress and it has never been worn nor thrown away as it well-tailored. But there comes a time when even clothes hoarder like me needs to make a decision and mine was to turn it to a top. Polka dot is very much in at the moment, so I may as well take advantage of what I already have rather than buy more. A statement necklace to balance the white trousers, the perennial white trainers and silver wristlet for extra something.
When you haven’t got something, borrow it. I have borrowed this jumper, if I have bought it I wouldn’t have worn it that often as I’m not that fond of black but it looks good today and it has zippers on the side to fit any hip size. The trousers are old but they are comfortable and something different than boring denim. The jacket is a wardrobe staple.
